- Responsible for submitting and following up on medical claims to insurance companies
- Ensure that insurance claims are processed and payments are received in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of insurance payments and patient information
- Resolve any insurance billing disputes or issues
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for billing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures
- Experience with medical billing software and databases
- Ability to analyze and resolve billing disputes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in medical billing (preferred)
- CPC, CCS-P, or similar certification (preferred)

Junior Medical Coder
