  • Responsible for submitting and following up on medical claims to insurance companies
  • Ensure that insurance claims are processed and payments are received in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance payments and patient information
  • Resolve any insurance billing disputes or issues
  • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for billing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures
  • Experience with medical billing software and databases
  • Ability to analyze and resolve billing disputes
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 2-3 years of experience in medical billing (preferred)
  • CPC, CCS-P, or similar certification (preferred)
